Location Rating: Very Good. This mini-hotel is located between the Old Town (a 10 minute walk) and the city center. Actually, this is the adjacent building to Metropol Hotel, both of them built within the walls of the former factory owned by Rotermann in the 19^{th century. This fact gave the name to this whole district in Tallinn and to the hotel.}

Lobby Appearance: Good. The lobby looks quite small and cozy. I was surprised to see an umbrella stand there, which is unusual for that class of  hotel. Since the hotel occupies the premises of a historical building, you can also see here patches of original stone walls exposed.

Room Appearance: Nice. The hotel has 38 spacious rooms: 7 singles, 28 doubles and 3 suites. All rooms have a bathroom with a shower, SAT-TV, refrigerator (quite unusual!) and telephone. I really liked the first two rooms I saw, a Standard Double and a Junior Suite, with their simple Scandinavian style furniture. However, I was disappointed with the view from the windows. You can see just the walls of the nearby buildings even from a suite. The third room was unimpressive because of its uncomfortable bed with a plain, cheap-looking bed cover.

The interior of the second floor has a sports theme: there’s a windsurfing board attached to the ceiling and pictures of yachts in the corridor – I liked it!

Other Amenities: There is a small bar, a sauna and a luggage room. Also, an internet room was opened recently. As for the restaurant, I had no chance to inspect it as it was being renovated at that moment.

Rates: (low/high season) Single €55/65, Double € 65/83, Junior Suite €80/100, Extra bed €20. No charge for children under 6 sharing parents’ room. Children 6-12 years old €13.

Useful Nearby Businesses: You can find lots of places to eat and have fun either in the neighborhood or in the adjacent building (Metropol Hotel). Just behind the hotel there’s an entertainment center with bars, pubs and bowling alleys.

Would I Stay Here? Yes, but not in a room facing the wall.

Staff Speaks English? Yes

Comments: This relatively inexpensive hotel seems to be a good place to stay for young, active people.
