Sheraton Palace Hotel J +7 (095) 931-9700 Street Address: 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, 19 - Moscow, Russia
Location: Good Nearest Metro: Staff Speaks English? Yes. Would I Stay Here? Yes. Especially on the VIP floor : ) * Comfortable VIP Floor * I enjoyed my visit to the 204 room Sheraton Palace. Trainee Marina, who showed me the hotel, was very nice. The first thing I saw was the 7th floor. This is their VIP floor. Guests staying here have their own reception area. They simply go straight to the 7th floor to check in. This floor is very nice, very attractive and very comfortable. Some rooms have interesting city views. I saw a really nice 2 story luxury suite... wow. The 7th floor also has a special, very nice breakfast/snack area. On the 8th floor is a fitness center. It's small, but nice. And they've got a great jacuzzi! The person in charge at the fitness center was also very friendly. I was surprised to see that the rooms have fax machines. Some of the fax machines are heavy duty, which also make copies. Other rooms have more ordinary fax machines. The hotel people say they are a "business class hotel." Compared to the nearby Marriott Grand, I liked the Sheraton Palace much better. And the Sheraton had much better, cozier lighting in the bathrooms. The Grand is maybe 10 minutes closer to Red Square though. It could take you 25 minutes to walk there from the Sheraton. In the Sheraton, I saw huge king-sized beds. Their sixth floor is non-smoking. The hotel has rooms for handicapped people. The corner suites have interesting views of busy Tverskaya street. There is a cozy, quaint restaurant on the second floor. It's a good place to stay.
