Location Rating: Very good. This neighborhood is especially attractive and upscale.

Lobby Appearance: This hotel just opened on September 1, 2005. It is spotless and classy with a modern design theme.

Room Appearance: There are 3 styles of rooms: Italian - which is sort of modern-funky and plain, Scandinavian, and maritime. Each style is modern. The rooms are kept to perfection.

Useful Nearby Businesses: Attractive sidewalk cafes.

Hotel Restaurants: Two restaurants. I found the Italian restaurant "Mille Miglia" to be attractive and enticing. It is an elegant, cozy, modern restaurant with a good choice of wines and a real Italian chef heading the operation. It only has 50 seats, so there are not loads of people, and the background music plays quietly. I liked the surroundings. The other restaurant's decor does not seem as creative to me. It seats 85 and offers international cuisine. A big buffet is offered for breakfast there. It costs about $21.

Other Amenities: How 'bout a heated underground parking garage? Wow... it is really nice. Worried about parking your Ferrari? No problem. It will be safe there. They've got 4 terrific boardrooms. If you've got a small meeting to conduct, these rooms are ideal for 8 to 12 people and have a nice big LCD TV screen for multi-media presentations. High speed internet access is available for free in your room. If you left the laptop at home, they've got a business center you can use and it is all free (for hotel guests only). The fitness center is pretty good. There are 3 bike machines, 4 other cardio contraptions and 4 universal strength training stations. It is a well designed area. Also here, in addition to showers and lockers, solarium and massage rooms, are two saunas: Finnish and Turkish. The Turkish sauna is wet and kept at about 50 degrees Celsius. The Finnish sauna is dry and kept at 100 degrees Celsius. With both, you can't stay in long, of course. In the lobby area they have a luggage room. That can come in handy. All the rooms have a safe. All the rooms have one button that you press to summon assistance of any kind. They will get you whatever you want. The rooms all have nice flatscreen TVs. They appear to be 20 to 23 inchers. And there is more. It's a really good hotel.

Would I Stay Here? Yes.

Staff Speaks English? Yes. Very good English speakers.

Comments: If peace and quiet is your priority, ask for a courtyard room. They describe the hotel as a true 4 star hotel. Our hotel tour guide said that because of lack of competition and demand, they were raising their prices. This facility is 100% impressive. They did a great job of restoring the exterior facade. It is located in a very attractive, pleasant neighborhood. Clearly, this Radisson SAS hotel has very high standards. You'll be treated well here. The hotel has 255 rooms, of which 147 are standards, 83 business class, 16 junior suites, 5 executive suites, 1 presidential site. Three rooms are handicap accessible. Two floors have been set aside for smokers. It previously was one floor, but demand by smokers necessitated the change.
