*Feels like being in the suburbs, but it is next to the airport.* Location Rating: It is close to the airport. The city's big sewage treatment plant is also near. I couldn't smell it during my visit. It seems that facility has become more successful in containing the smell during recent years. But it wouldn't surprise me if there are the occasional bad days when the wind brings stinky air over to this location. Lobby Appearance: Feels like a little club house. I enjoyed the cozy fire in the fireplace. CNN was on a TV. Comfortable, homey place to hang-out. It made an excellent impression on me. Room Appearance: I said "Wow!" when the door opened to a two bedroom suite. My expectations were completely surpassed. This unit was on the second floor and had a vaulted ceiling in the living room area. Connected to the living room is a kitchen with pots, pans and plates, and other utensils. This combination living room/kitchen was very attractive and cozy to me, and it had a fireplace. On both sides of the living room are doors to bedrooms. Each of the two bedrooms has its own bathroom. So if you were staying with somebody who snored too loud, you might not hear the snoring since there is distance between the two rooms (rather than being beside the other). Bathrooms are tiny. I also saw a one room studio for handicapped travellers. It seemed much more ordinary to me since it didn't have the vaulted ceiling. For a little more money, go with the vaulted ceiling. Useful Nearby Businesses: The atrium restaurant in the nearby Sheraton Suites is the nearest interesting place to eat. There is really nothing else in the immediate area besides a gas station. Hotel Restaurants: No restaurant, but breakfast is served 7 days a week, and Monday through Thursday they have light snacks in the evenings. Other Amenities: Pets are welcome. There is a $100 pet charge. They
will grocery shop for you (you must pay for the food). You can do your own wash
for $1 per load per machine. Sometimes in the summer they have BBQ nights. They
have an outdoor pool which is open during the warm months, and they have a small
basketball court. Would I Stay Here? Yes, even with the possibility of a stink cloud coming over... because I loved the 2 bedroom suite I saw. It felt like home. Comments: This facility is 11 years old. It looks new and strangely feels like being in the suburbs. The two bedroom suite with vaulted ceiling felt like a home away from home. I loved how comfortable it made me feel. The studio with no vaulted ceiling didn't wow me like the suite.
