* Everything is brand new. Complete renovation. Nice rooms.*

Location Rating: Near Airport. Not an exciting location.

Lobby Appearance: Wow! It's beautiful. I'm very surprised. It is a brand new reception area and they didn't cut corners.

Room Appearance: Beautiful brand new rooms. The hotel has gone through a $3 million renovation. This is the kind of hotel where you can park your car in front of your room. So there are no interior corridors here.

Useful Nearby Businesses: "Willows" is across the street. It's a dark bar with a few televisions, some video poker games, a bowling arcade game, and a room with a small pool table. I guess this is where the locals hang out. The Renaissance Hotel is about a 5 minute walk. They've got a sports bar and a restaurant over there. Enterprise car rental has a location next door. That's it! There is not much here.

Hotel Restaurants: "Hunan Garden Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge." It serves a mixture of American and oriental food. There are no windows here. The environment is so-so. They say they are going to update it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served.

Other Amenities: They have a "park and fly" lot. If you want to park your wheels and take a flight out of Philly, you can leave it in their long-term parking lot for $6.95 a day. It is a fenced in area with gate access. The hotel has free internet access through one computer in the lobby. There is also free wireless in the lobby. Free coffee. In the future they will have a visitor's lounge. They have a fitness room with 3 machines.

Would I Stay Here? Yes.

Comments: It is a 35 year old building. I expected the worst. Boy, was I surprised. Somebody has spent a lot of money to fix this place up. I was impressed. Some renovation is continuing, but it appears mostly complete. Next door is the Econo Lodge and they own that too. Rooms are a little cheaper there and that is the next building they are going to fix up. The little lobby area in the Quality Inn is really nice. A fireplace is there, a 27 inch TV which was tuned to VH1 while I was there, a few tables, living room furniture, black granite counters. All the guest rooms have a 27 inch TV. Twenty percent of their 82 rooms are set aside for smokers. Two rooms are especially for handicapped guests.

Since this hotel is just outside of the city boundaries, there probably is a lower hotel tax.
