Location Rating: It is next to the University Of Pennsylvania hospitals in a part of Philadelphia known as University City.

Comments: It can be a frustrating thing to make an effort to visit a hotel, then be turned away. They have 79 guest rooms in this tall building. I only was in the lobby and so I can only go with my impressions from what I saw in the lobby. I was not impressed. The lobby had an institutional feel to it. And I was handled in a way which led me to believe that service would be beneath most other hotels.

I was very much impressed though at the nearby Inn At Penn, which is a Hilton hotel.

If you need to be very close to the hospital, then maybe the Penn Tower is for you. However, if you can walk an extra 10 minutes, do the Inn At Penn instead. It is an excellent hotel.
