Location Rating: Between Center City and King Of Prussia on the edge of Philadelphia in a suburban type of area. Hilton's brochure says they are 5 miles from the Convention Center and 12 miles from the airport. Lobby Appearance: Looks brand new. Lots of marble and chandeliers. Room Appearance: They wouldn't let me see the rooms during my visit. I was told that they were last updated 2 years ago. I imagine the rooms must be okay. But the banquet areas have not been updated recently from what I was able to see. Useful Nearby Businesses: There are several well-known restaurant brands within walking distance. I especially liked O'hare's Seafood Bar & Grille near T.G.I. Friday's. An ACME supermarket is nearby. Hotel Restaurants: Delmonico's Steakhouse. Atmosphere looked so-so to me. They also have the Polo Lounge. It's a dark bar with dark wood, maroon colors, subdued lighting and a fireplace. It is sort of classy, along with the restaurant and lobby, but these areas do not strike me as having a refined elegance for some reason. Maybe it is the chandelier lighting? Other Amenities: I saw their fitness center. It looked brand new. They've got 2 running machines, 1 stair stepper machine, 1 bike machine, 1 Life Fitness 95xi (I don't know what it is?) and 4 universal-type weight lifting stations. Next door is a small indoor pool with a maximum depth of 5 feet. And the pool area has views of Belmont Reservoir (nothing special) and the distant city skyline. The men's room in the lobby is quite nice. Classy. Would I Stay Here? Yes. Comments: When entering the hotel, everything looks new. I was told there are 209 rooms here. One floor is set aside for smokers. They have 12 rooms for handicapped people. You can buy Haagen Dazs ice cream in the lobby. If I were staying here, I would probably eat at O'hare's Seafood Bar & Grille. I like the atmosphere there much more. You can walk there in about 15 minutes. Head east and look for it on your right.
