Location Rating: Excellent - very close to City Hall, and the Kimmel Center.

Comments: Their website says they are the second closest to Lincoln Financial Stadium. The Days Inn Stadium is probably closer, but you can easily hop on the Broad Street subway to go to the stadium area from the Doubletree.

The hotel has 434 rooms, a fitness center and pool. I was never able to see any of it though despite 4 visits.

On January 1 the New Years Day parade attracted overwhelming crowds of people in front of the hotel. Maybe interesting views could be had from some rooms, but trying to walk on the sidewalk in front of the hotel was extremely difficult. I hated being trapped in the crowd.

One of the good things about this hotel is its location. Many very good restaurants are within easy walking distance. There is quite a large selection. And across the street at the Bellevue - where the Park Hyatt is located, there is a nice food court in the lower level, plus free internet access. Upstairs on the 19th floor of the Bellevue is the Founders Restaurant. Oh, it is so pleasant there...
