Location Rating: Excellent. Heart Of The City. In the business district, near fancy Rittenhouse Square. Avenue Of The Arts is an easy 5 to 7 minute walk. It's a great location. "The Shops At Liberty Place" shopping mall is just steps away.

Lobby Appearance: The first lobby you enter is really nice and classy. Take the elevator and go to the second floor. The elevator door behind you will open. I like this lobby. Very nice. Very clean and comfortable. A large skylight drenches the room with sun. There are comfortable place to sit, watch TV, be near a fireplace, or surf the web.

Room Appearance: I hear the rooms are good. Since it is a private hotel, the director of memberships or whatever - thought it made no sense to let me tour the facility.

Hotel Restaurants: Probably none. But I can't be sure.

Useful Nearby Businesses: Lots of places to eat are in the neighborhood. A nice quiet place to dine would be at the nearby Westin Hotel. There is also a mall just steps away at "Liberty Place." They've got a great food court area there. And actually, there is a huge selection of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the Club Quarters hotel.

Other Amenities: It seems that if you are a member, or affiliated with a member, you can get good rooms here real cheap.

Would I Stay Here? Probably, if they'd let me in!

Comments: So the deal is this is a membership hotel. I guess companies fork out big bucks to buy a membership, then their employees get discounted rates, or something like that. It appears they have 11 or 12 locations.

They wrote me this after I had stopped by twice:

"...we do not wish to be included in your Philadelphia review due to the nature of being a private hotel for members only. We don't advertise so it doesn't really make sense."

The weird thing is I did a hotel search on Orbitz.com for an upcoming time period and this Philadelphia Club Quarters was on the top of the list, so I'm guessing Orbitz must be making a good commission. The price on Orbitz was $110 per night. So you can get a room here if you are not a member, but you'll have to make the reservation through Orbitz or maybe another online service.

Was this information helpful? Because they seem to think it wasn't worth my time and that it makes no sense for this info to be here. ideamaned@yahoo.com
