Street Address: 2 Mayakovskovo ul., corner of Nevsky Prospect and Mayakovskovo ulitsa., the first archway into the yard. There is no sign on the door, but when you walk into the tiny courtyard and see nice white windows and a door right in front of you - that's it!

Rates: Single $80, double $100, a room with separate entrance from a not very nice looking communal stairwell (it’s more like a 1-room apartment) for 1 person $50, for 2 people $70.

Location Rating: Excellent.

Proximity To Metro: Excellent. 2 minute walk to Mayakovskaya metro station, 7 minute walk from Moskovsky railway station.

Lobby Appearance: I really loved the lobby of this hotel - done with much taste and very nicely decorated like a dining room on a boat. It’s very lovely.

Room Appearance: The 4 rooms are VERY small. This is what I didn’t like at all. There’s hardly enough space for a bed in there, and no way of putting in an extra one. There's a TV and a heater in each room. Smoking is allowed. Bathrooms are simple and clean and are equipped with shower cabins.

Useful Nearby Businesses: Within a few steps walking distance there are lots of useful things on Mayakovskovo street: exchange offices, 2 ATMs, cell phone store, Planet Sushi Restaurant, Be Free clothes store, a jewellery store (I guess there's more than one)

Hotel Restaurants: Guests are served breakfast (included into the price) in the lobby café, which I was impressed with.

Other Amenities: Seems like none, because the young woman working there couldn’t tell me anything useful at all! Though I understood they do visa registration.

Would I Stay Here? I'd prefer not to.

Staff Speaks English? No.

Comments: If only the rooms were as nice as the lobby!
