Nevsky 74 Bed & Breakfast K
www.athomeinsaintpeterburg.ru
St. Petersburg, Russia
e-mail: bnb@pochta.ru Street Address: Nevsky Prospect 74, apt. 89 Rates: The price is $40 - $70 per room, but if you need it desperately and if you’re really very budget-minded they can give you a discount! Location Rating: Excellent. Two minute walk to Fontanka River and Anichkov Palace. It’s in the heart of the city where you can find anything. Proximity To Metro: Very good. Less than 10 minute walk to Gostiny Dvor, Mayakovskaya, Vladimirskaya/Dostoyevskaya metro stations. Lobby Appearance: There's a writing desk in the corridor where somebody from the reception is always present. Room Appearance: It's more of a hostel type of facility. There are 6 rooms and guests have to share 2 toilets and two shower-cabins. Everything's new and nice but very small in size. Some corridors are extremely narrow! Rooms have no air-conditioning. Since most rooms face Nevsky Prospect, they are noisy. The quietest room is probably the room with the balcony. One room has a king-size bed and a sofa which is nice, while the others look more like rooms in a summer camp for schoolchildren. Useful Nearby Businesses: In the courtyard there’s a nice café. A leather and fur boutique is in the next building. Crystal Palace Movie theater and United Colors of Benetton clothes store are just a few steps away. There’s also a bakery nearby! Hotel Restaurants: They have a really tiny kitchen area, and I think it’s much easier to have breakfast in your room. Other Amenities: They have a washing machine. Would I Stay Here? Yes, in the biggest room with the biggest bed! Staff Speaks English? Yes. Comments: I think it’s a nice place for students or young people traveling with a group or on their own. The price they charge per night is a good value for what you get: excellent location, clean and new bathrooms, good beds and a breakfast! Just don't forget to bring your ear plugs. Note: There’s no elevator in this building.
