"Magnat" Horse Club - Restaurant - Hotel (website coming) Kievskaya
Oblast, Borispolsky, Ukraine Phone: +38-044-568-1122 email: nata@magnat.kiev.ua Street Address: Poc. Choobinskoye, ulitsa Vicmavochnaya, 2 Rates: White room (the most totally cool room) is $200 a night, green room $100, blue room $83. Complex has 8 hotel rooms, each a different color. * World Class Cool - Unique * Location Rating: Poor. Not so easy to get to. Proximity To Metro: This is outside of Kiev. But we heard that it is possible to get there by bus. Lobby Appearance: Intriguing. Creative. Brand new. Room Appearance: This place is totally cool. And the white room is so chic. The purple room has a large bed for a couple and a separate bedroom for a child. Useful Nearby Businesses: There is some type of outdoor market with a wide variety of things from farm machinery to hats and pottery. While we were here live musical entertainment was under way. Hotel Restaurants: We loved "Restaurant M". It is a temperature controlled area with windows overlooking the international standard indoor dressage horse ring. So we sat along the window looking down from the second floor as a type of horse dancing was practiced by riders. This restaurant, and everything else about the entire complex , is high quality, where no expense or detailed was spared. They also have a very interesting "horseshoe bar" with horse saddle bar seats! And they have 3 other really cool dining areas. One is the Africa Room or the jungle room. Another was completely different but equally interesting. It was considered to be a cigar room. Cozy. Both of these areas can be used for private events. Another area was decorated in another trendy and stylistic theme. This place oozes coolness. Other amenities: Complete sauna facility. Horse riding lessons with a professional trainer - just $20 an hour! You can also board your own horse there. They have 86 horses in the stables now. Some are privately owned. Would I stay here? Sure. It's really impressive. But it is far from the city. Staff speaks English? Some do. The young woman at the front did. Diane, who is the sister of the owner, is completely fluent. Comments: Oh man, I sure was surprised with what I found here. The people who designed this place were incredibly creative and into the details. This place is very cool, very cutting edge, and high quality, yet at affordable pricing. I needed a driver to get here. I was dazzled when I walked in. Many different environments. Everything perfectly clean. The standards of cleanliness and professionalism are very high here. The highest quality details are in everything. The main focus of the facility is dressage style horse riding. There is an indoor 20 meter by 60 meter dressage field or pen or ring - whatever they call it. And on this Saturday afternoon, there was constant indoor horse activity as riders practice their fancy riding skills or worked out a horse. The horses are beautiful and well-cared for. Outside they have a 20 meter by 60 meter dressage area and a 30 by 70 meter dressage area. Children from 10 to 12 years old are welcome to take horse riding lessons, which can be as little as $15 an hour. Adults can get a 10 percent discount on riding for buying 10 hours of horse riding time, and it is just $20 an hour with a trainer. The training is considered to be very high quality, and the trainers are professionals. People train for competitions here and prestigious competitions are hosted here. The restaurant overlooking the indoor ring has no horse smell at all. In fact, the complex is so clean, you can only detect a horse smell if you get right next to the ring on the ground floor. I enjoyed some delicious shashleek at Restaurant M. Yummy! The service was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. Watching the horses was relaxing and interesting. It was really a delightful experience for me. I was living the good life at that restaurant. You can rent a water pipe if you want. I saw some people puffing away. In the lobby area of the building they've got a cash machine. In one of the ground floor party rooms they've got 3 really nice, large aquariums that are immediately next to each other. One has a school of red bellied piranhas. It must be interesting to watch them eat. The sauna has an impressive tile design on the wall. Creative decorative elements are everywhere here. My guide Hanna also loved it here. We were treated so well. It was truly a pleasure. The horse club was founded in 1999, but this complex only opened June 8, 2005. So everything is brand new.
