Street Address: Boricpilckye Shosse * Great cabin experience * Rates: $98 to $275 for 24 hours. Half for 12 hours. Location Rating: Outside of the city. Proximity To Metro: Not near the metro. Lobby Appearance: The main building is still under construction, but they have neat little log cabins. Room Appearance: You can get a real log cabin experience here. The cabins are new. Useful Nearby Businesses: A bit isolated. Located along a busy highway leading from the city to the suburbs. Hotel Restaurants: Food is the emphasis of this enterprise. Nice, new, high quality restaurant. They also have outdoor private dining rooms that are inside covered wagons (like old west covered wagons). A 300 person restaurant is being built inside the yet-to-be-completed hotel. I was told that a river will run through the restaurant! It sounds like the restaurant will have impressive water features. Other Amenities: One of the cabins has a sauna. It is a woodsy area. Unusual underground wine cellar. Would I Stay Here? Yes, but away from the highway. Staff Speaks English? Yes. Comments: Well, the administrator was very, very cool. And I had my first shot of the Ukrainian National Drink, which I was later told, while my throat and mouth were on fire, that it was 50% alcohol. It appeared he and my guide for this day, Vova, had a good laugh. Good thing I wasn't driving. Well, they have a few cabins that I really liked. Unfortunately, there is a lot of highway noise, so ask for a cabin in the back. The most expensive cabin has a sauna with a door especially for running out into the snow naked, or nearly naked, which is the Russian method of using the sauna - hot, cold, hot, cold back and forth. This cabin also has a second floor. What I really liked about the cabins was the way I felt there. It is unusual and cozy and I think others would love the experience of staying in a unusual environment like this. In August 2006 it is expected their hotel will open. I certainly expect it will be a nice, high quality, innovative hotel with high standards from what I saw on this evening. A lot of the food is prepared on-site, liked smoked meats. They are definitely investing substantially in their facilities. My only concern is the highway noise. I was definitely treated well here and they have the service attitude.
