Rates: From $69 for a single to $168 for a suite.

Location Rating: Northern suburbs of Saint Petersburg. Fifty meters to the Gulf Of Finland; 200 meters to the bus stop. Quiet area sprinkled with new million dollar homes.Photo: Hotel Skandinavia, in the suburbs north of St. Petersburg, Russia. This is a nice hotel.

Proximity To Metro: Nowhere near the metro! The 417 mini-bus will take you to Chernaya Rechka Metro Station in 30 minutes. The 400 mini-bus will take you to Ploshchad Lenina Metro Station (further away).

Lobby Appearance: Really nice. It is obvious once you walk in the door that this is a really nice, classy place.

Room Appearance: They look new. Dynamite.

Useful Nearby Businesses: It is a quiet, suburban, residential neighborhood. There are no businesses, shops or cafes nearby.

Hotel Restaurants: They have a nice, small restaurant.

Other Amenities: Outdoor pool and jacuzzi, banya/sauna, billiards, card playing room, horse riding, tennis, skating.

Would I Stay Here? Yes. It's a really nice place and very comfortable. Although it's far from the city.

Staff Speaks English? Yes.

Comments: There are 44 rooms and a few more will be added soon. It's a very high quality facility. (Just before this photo was taken, our driver got us stuck in a snow drift - it was like a blizzard. We almost stayed here.)
