The lazy front desk queen wouldn't let us see anything. As we walked through the parking lot, we saw a lot of cars with police plates. My assistant walked up to the front desk lady and gave our spiel. And she said that I was an American. Two men nearby whispered in Russian to each other "What does he want; what does he want."
It turns out, this is a hotel for police! They come from all over Russia on police business and stay here. The front desk says they rarely have rooms available (yah, right) but if they did, the room cost would range between 700 to 12960 rubles.
This is an old hotel. They've got the soviet service mentality. Why stay here? Plus, Russian police have a very bad reputation.

Had a stay here on 27th August. Cost was 1120 roubles and accommodation was comfortable. Bed was good, service unrequired but Hotel would not accept credit cards. Would stay there again.
