Hotel Fort Konstantin K P Phone: 7 (812) 439-1804 Rates: Single 250 rubles ($8.33) to 300 rubles ($10); suite 500 rubles ($16.67) Location Rating: If you want to easily visit
Saint Petersburg, this location is extremely poor. It is on the island of Kronshtadt, but far
away from the town in an isolated area along the water. It is a houseboat with a
view of several very old island fortresses. Proximity To Metro: Extremely poor. You need to get somebody to give you a ride to the town's bus station. It is too far to walk. Once you get a bus, it probably takes around 30 minutes to get to Chernaya Rechka Metro Station. Lobby Appearance: Quite small. The corridors are dark. Bring a flashlight. Room Appearance: First we saw the suite. It was so small and had a bathroom. Then we saw their regular rooms. Boy, they are super tiny, and no toilet or shower. The communal shower and toilet looked fairly modern and clean, although one of these had an odor. Useful Nearby Businesses: You can take excursions to the island fortresses. Not much else around. The area looks industrial. And they are building a giant tunnel here which will go under the water. Hotel Restaurants: They have a small cafe. It looks okay. Other Amenities: Satellite phone in the lobby. Would I Stay Here? I would prefer not to. Staff Speaks English? No. Comments: The stairs to the upper deck are very steep. No bus goes to this hotel. You must get a ride from somebody to the town's bus station. This would be an odd place to stay.
