Location Rating: Excellent. If you walk to the right from this hotel you’ll see Hotel Dostoyevsky. If you walk to the left, there is the Radisson. It's a 5 minute walk to Nevsky Prospect and Anichkov Palace. Cathedral of Our Lady of Vladimir and Lensoveta theater are across the street.

Proximity To Metro: Two minute walk to Vladimirskaya/Doetoyevskaya Metro Station.

Lobby Appearance: Very nice. It has an antique look. Magnificent chandeliers, baroque style mirrors.

Room Appearance: It is a small boutique-hotel with 18 rooms: 2 singles, 12 doubles with king-size bed, 4 two-room suites. I was shown two suites that looked amazing with the canopy above the bed. Each suite has a name: I saw "King Of Spades" and "Black Prince" which is the only suite with a Jacuzzi bath. All the rest have either shower cabins or regular baths. Rooms have central air-conditioning. Smoking is allowed. Satellite TV, telephone, internet access, mini-bar in the room.

Useful Nearby Businesses: You don’t need to walk far to have some fun. This hotel is located in the complex called Golden Country, where you can find two classy restaurants Feodor Dostoyevsky and Bella Leone (hotel guests get 20% discount there), Golden Garden casino (entrance free for hotel guests) and Golden Country Jewellery boutique.

Hotel Restaurants: Breakfast is served in a small cafe called "Near Fountain" under a crystal roof.

Other Amenities: 24-hour reception and room service, luggage rooms, ticket reservations, taxi services.

Would I Stay Here? Yes! I loved the place!

Staff Speaks English? Yes.

Comments: They told me that a boutique hotel doesn’t have any star rating, but if it could be done, then they’d get 4 or 4+ stars.
