Gasis 1 Hotel K +7 (095) 280-7647 Street Location: Bolshaya Pereyaslavskaya Ulitsa, 50 - Moscow, Russia
Location: Fair Nearest Metro: Rizhskaya Staff Speaks English? No. Would I Stay Here? Probably not. * Not Your Dream Hotel, But Cheap * Gasis is an abbreviation for a long Russian name. The neighborhood is plain and there is nothing interesting here. The hotel lobby is a bit old. The reception area is newer. The corridors are old. The rooms that I saw looked much better than the corridors. One person can stay here for 980 rubles; two people is 1400, or you can just get a bed for 300 rubles (as of 3/27/2004) In room 412, it wasn't bad: new wall paper, new carpet, new TV. In room 405 there are hardwood floors. The room is a little old. The bathroom is okay. On the 10th floor English is spoken at the "Traveller's Guest House" hostel, which is a separate entity in the building.
Street Address: Kibalchicha Ulitas, 7 - Moscow, Russia
Location: Fair Staff Speaks English? No. Would I Stay Here? No, probably not. * Cockroach Alert! * As I waited in the lobby to ask to see the rooms, I noticed a cockroach climbing on a sofa! At the same time a cleaning lady was very diligently vacuuming the carpet. The surroundings are old and basic. Things look clean, but - it's old! They have a security guard in the lobby who seemed to be doing a good job. Room # 107, a luxury suite, is 1300 rubles (as of 3/27/2004). The bathroom is not bad. The rooms are old. A single, such as 108A is 600 rubles. It shares a bathroom and toilet with room 108B. The rooms are old. They have a basic, poor-looking cafe on the ground floor. It is not really a great place to stay and if you choose to stay here or the other Gasis location, you would be roughing it.
