Royal Sands Hotel - Cancun, Mexico www.royalsands.com Location Rating: 5 star Lobby Appearance: Excellent Room Appearance: Very Good Useful Nearby Businesses: Plentiful. There are many malls within walking distance, or a brief bus ride. Bus drivers stop where you wish, as well as pre-determined bus stops along the route. Hotel Restaurants: There is the high end, casual sit down, and snack foods/lite foods available at the two swim up bars poolside. Other Amenities: Activities that are family oriented. There is ceramics painting, poolside aerobics, pottery, jewelry making classes and more. Some were free others asked for a materials fee that would be charged directly to your room via your room key. The room key served as a credit card throughout the resort for the restaurants, the grocery store and for activities and for the bars/drinks. Staff Speaks English: Yes, all staff members speak English. There are also staffers from the U.K., Australia etc. International staff that all speak English and many speak other languages as well. Would I stay there again: Yes, but I would note to others that they are trying to sell timeshares at the property. Some staffers are more aggressive than others. So it depends on who greets who on this regard. Our concierge was polite, and thankfully not overly aggressive with a sales pitch, he allowed us to enjoy our stay in peace. Comments: This is a resort that is geared primarily for it's timeshare guests. They are welcoming to new comers/vacationers as well. Obviously they do want to sell their shares. I would say it's a bit better for families. Singles may want to stay in the heart of the downtown districts, or at least a more "fast paced" resort, like the Melia Turquesa or one of the Palace hotels. This is a reader supplied review from a former guest of the hotel. |
