Brighton Hotel J +7 (095) 214-9511 www.brh.ru Street Address: Petrovsko-Razoomovsky Proezd, 29 - Moscow, Russia
Location: Excellent if you have young children with you. Nearest Metro: Dmitrovskaya Staff Speaks English? A little. Would I Stay Here? Yes. * This Is One Of The Nicest Mini-Hotels I Have Found In Moscow * This hotel is especially good for those with young children because an elaborate, for-pay children's park is right next door (cost is like 5 rubles). I was able to walk in without charge though from the hotel. There are all kinds of playground areas. In the summer I imagine it must be very pleasant with the shade of all the trees. Many parents and children were here during my visit. A fairly substantial billiards hall is also in the park. At the hotel, the rooms are quite nice. They look brand new. They are air conditioned and have a safe. There are 10 rooms here and the facility is 10 years old, but the rooms were all updated last year (in 2003). We were greeted by a security guard in a suit when we first arrived. They treated us very well. I was surprised and impressed with their restaurant. They have two dining areas. One is the Russian version of the restaurant. I really liked the atmosphere and their attractive aquarium. In another room is where they serve European cuisine. This was nice too, but I liked the Russian cuisine area better. And these dining areas are classy. They have a sauna area too. It is okay. Room prices start at 3600 rubles. I think that is a bargain. They advertise that the hotel is rated "4 star." The metro is a long walk - maybe 20 minutes. I really liked it here. I was impressed with the facility, and the children's park is a very pleasant place. Tourist sites are nowhere nearby though.
