For about half what it costs to stay at the Marriott Royal Aurora, you can stay at the new, high quality, Hotel Akvarel, which is a 3 or 4 minute walk from this spot.

Best Mini-Hotels In Moscow

My top recommendation for a mini-hotel is the Hotel Tiflis for the high quality of its facility and staff,  excellent location and overall comfort level. The Tiflis is managed by an American. There is unusual attention to detail here. The staff speaks English. The neighborhood is comfortable. The hotel is new. It's a good place to stay.

My top recommendation for a mini-hotel that is close to the Kremlin is the Hotel Akvarel. You can easily walk to all areas around the Kremlin. It is situated down a small alley on an upscale, very attractive pedestrian street. Pricing is a bargain compared to the nearest hotel, which is the Marriott Royal Aurora. The hotel is new. Comfortable. A fine place to stay.

My top recommendation for a mini-hotel that is away from the city's hustle and bustle is the Royal Zenith Hotel. The hotel actually has 2 separate locations on an island known as "Serebryany Bor" which is surrounded by the Moskva (Moscow) River. The surrounding environment is completely different from the rest of the city. The location is peaceful and feels like a distant suburb - out in the country. The staff is very friendly. The room quality is excellent.

My top recommendation for a mini-hotel that is good for young children would be the Brighton Hotel. Parents will love the restaurants and the high quality of the rooms. Children will love the adjacent children's park. Of course, the Brighton Hotel is good for those without children also. I was impressed with the facility, the attitude of the staff, and the pleasantness of the park.

Noteworthy Mini Hotels:

Sretenskaya Hotel - They have a good facility. The location is good. And I love their jungle atrium.

That's it!
