Street address: Malaya Posadskaya str., 15, apt. 76, code 238  (1st and 3rd floors *with elevator*)

Rates: Singles from 20-75 EUR depending on the class of the room, twins 30-80 EUR, triples 40-95 EUR.

Location rating: Good. Very close to the Peter and Paul Fortress, but located in the area where I wouldn’t dare walk alone at night.

Proximity to metro: Good. Less than 10 minute walk to Gorkovskaya metro station.

Lobby appearance: One word: C R A P P Y !

Room appearance: There are 5 classes of rooms (from highest to lowest): business, comfort, standard, tourist, economical. Tourist, comfort, and business-class rooms are located on the 3rd floor. These rooms are considered to be the best. They look much nicer than the others. Business-class and comfort rooms even have bathrooms, while guests living in other rooms have to share bathroom facilities. Those rooms on the 3rd floor looked okay, but I smelled a repulsive musty odor in the air. I was very unimpressed with the facilities on the 1st floor. I felt like I was visiting somebody’s dirty apartment…everything looked and smelled like it.

Useful nearby businesses: There is a big market almost next door to the left, a nice looking café to the right and a hairdressers’s salon.

Hotel restaurants: They have a small kitchen for enjoying breakfast on the 3rd floor. It looks modern and sort of nice but I found it very boring. Breakfast is included only in the high season prices. During low season it will cost you an extra 100 roubles.

Other amenities: Visa registration (20 EUR), deposit safe at the reception, cheap transfers, internet $2 per hour.

Would I stay here? NO!

Staff speaks English? Yes.

Comments: It is a hotel/hostel for the young and daring... who have low standards.
