Street Address: 27/29 Mokhovaya str.  (Go into the courtyard and to the right) On the door code panel press the letter A (stands for Art-Hotel).

Rates: Single $70-$95, double $95-$135, junior suite $115-$150, suite $140-$190, extra bed $30-$50.

Location Rating: Good. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Summer Garden and Mikhailovsky Castle, and about 15 minutes to the Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood, and Nevsky Prospect.

Proximity To Metro: Fair. About a 20 minute walk to Chernyshevskaya metro stop.

Lobby Appearance: Spotless, with a classy air about it. There's a very comfortable leather couch close to the reception desk and plenty of cultural magazines available on the small table next to it.

Room Appearance: Spacious and high-class, with brand new furniture, modern bathrooms (mostly with bathtubs), with nice pictures on the walls. All rooms feature central air-conditioning, direct internet access, security systems, hairdryers, satellite TV and a telephone. I really liked the draperies on the windows!

Useful Nearby Businesses: A large supermarket is nearby plus a drugstore.

Hotel Restaurants: None. Breakfast is served in the rooms when requested.

Other Amenities: Business center services, transfers, parking, safety deposit boxes, guided tours, laundry services.

Would I Stay Here? Yes.

Staff Speaks English? Yes.

Comments: There is no big sign indicating there is a hotel here, so if you're looking for it on your own, remember a big and nice fence with a huge gate. It leads into the courtyard that you need. Then turn right - and there you are!

There's no way a stranger can get in or out from this hotel because of their security monitoring system. Even to get out you have to ask the person at the reception desk to press a special button so that the door will open.

From hotelinspector we had chosen the Art-Hotel and every thing what
had bin written, was true. The courtyard not in best condition but round the
corner the little hotel was very nice. The room, the breakfast and especially
the staff, very friendly young women speaking english and one of them also
good german, good for us coming from Munich, Germany. We can absolutly
recommend this hotel.
