Anabel Mini Hotel     J   www.anabel.ru           (812) 279-8211

email: info@anabel.ru

Street Address: Nevsky Prospect 88-68, St. Petersburg, Russia

Location: Excellent - heart of the city, but the communal foyer and stairway is totally crappy.

Nearest Metro: Mayakovskaya (5 to 7 minutes)

Staff Speaks English? Some. Depends on who is on duty.

Once you are in the hotel, everything is great. There are 7 rooms. The hotel opened October 1, 2003. So everything is new. I very much liked the kitchen. It is very cozy and you can prepare your own meal if you wish. The kitchen features a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, water cooler, music and 3 tables. They also have a sauna! Only 550 rubles for 2 hours. Internet access is available for 30 rubles per hour.

Anabel is a nice little place. Though it is a pity there is that crappy communal entryway. The hotel shares it with the ordinary Russians who also live in the building. Also, I've heard the walls may be a bit thin.

You will find this hotel in the back courtyard (way off of Nevsky Prospect). The courtyard is not bad.

Also, the hotel has an apartment for rent. It is large and features a combination kitchen/living room plus bedroom and bathroom. I liked the rooms in the hotel better.
