Lobby Appearance: Oh, it doesn't inspire hope that there will be good rooms here.

Room Appearance: Very basic. Ancient Soviet-era rooms. Very basic bathroom with paint flaking off the ceiling. Looks bad. Yet it is clean.

Useful Nearby Businesses:

Hotel Restaurants: None, but you can cook in your room.

Other Amenities: Ha!

Would I Stay Here? I'd have to be pretty desperate.

Staff Speaks English? No.

Comments: The cleaning ladies make $40 per month. The old front desk ladies make $60 per month. How do you live on that? Hallways are old and ghetto-like, but clean. The rooms are apartments with a 2 gas burner stove, a sink, and a 21" x 28" countertop (approximately). They say students like this place and that some have lived here for years. At the beginning of our visit they said they rarely rent rooms to tourists because from September till the Christmas holidays, circus actors and their families stay here. It is owned by the ministry of culture and other "show business and concert people" stay here. Boy... it is a really poor, run-down hotel.
