- In the past 2 years many more hotels have opened in Saint Petersburg, Russia. So the supply and quality of rooms continues to improve. The city's tourism department also appears to be at the start of a vigorous new campaign to finally promote tourism to this city.
- Kiev is a prosperous, attractive city with not that many hotels. Yet there still are bargains. Nice place to visit.
- Center City Philadelphia hotels are doing very well, including on weekends. And the recent conversion of some hotels to condominiums has created a scarcity of rooms. Plan ahead if you want to stay in Center City.
